Tara Dighton

Bachelor of Exercise Sciences

Tara has been working at Clem Jones Physio and Rehab since mid 2010. Her previous experience has also been in private practice, and she had previously worked as physiotherapist for the Wynnum Wolves Football Club.

Since commencing at the Clem Jones Clinic, Tara has taken on a number of roles which see her working closely with gymnastics (travelling in 2012, 2013 and 2014 to the National Championships with the Qld Team) and working with the QAS Women's program, basketball, swimming and AFL.

In August 2013, Tara travelled to the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Ukraine, as Physiotherapist for the Australian Team.

She currently consults to several elite and recreational Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs in Brisbane.

From 2011, Tara has worked with the Spartans Basketball  as the team physiotherapist - Men's and Women's SEABL (South East Australian Basketball League) Teams. She is following up this involvement with the Spartans Junior Representative Programs, working closely with coaches to recognise young athlete injury issues and develop injury prevention strategies.

Tara has also developed relationships with several local soccer and athletics clubs.

Tara's background in exercise physiology has been utilised extensively with each of these sporting groups, and also with the clinic's work injury clientele - developing gym based and hydrotherapy programs to assist their recovery and return from injury.
