Andrew McGough

Principal - Clem Jones Centre Physio and Rehab

Andrew is the principal of ‘Clem Jones Centre Physio and Rehab'.

He is one of only a small number of Specialist Sports Physiotherapists in Qld and Australia.

Andrew currently holds the position of  "Head of Performance Services/Head Physiotherapist" to the Brisbane Bullets in the NBL.

He is also the National Team Physiotherapist for Diving Australia.

Andrew has been selected on the Australian Commonwealth Games Team (Medical Headquarters Physiotherapist) for Gold Coast 2018.

Andrew regularly travels internationally in his roles (Diving Australia, Gymnastics Australia, Australian Paralympic Commitee).

He has also been priveleged to be a member of the following Australian Teams;

He is head physiotherapist for several elite sporting programs, and a consultant physiotherapist for many sporting organisations including the following;

  • Australian Paralympic Wheelchair Rugby Team
  • Queensland Academy of Sport/HPC Women's Artistic Gymnastics
  • Queensland Academy of Sport/HPC Men's Artistic Gymnastics

  • Gymnastics Queensland and Australia
  • Queensland and Australian Weightlifting
  • QAS/Australian Softball
  • QBA + QAS Baseball

Further to this experience, Andrew has also worked with a number of other sports at the elite and recreational level – Soccer, Water Polo, Swimming and Basketball (QAS provider). In more recent times his work with gymnastics and weightlifting have placed him ideally to assist "Crossfitters".

He has a keen interest in rehabilitation from all types of injury. He is very experienced with identifying barriers to athlete and client rehab progress, and the subsequent rehab conditioning requirements and prescription to assist improved client performance.

Andrew has been a lecturer for many years on post-graduate (Griffith University Masters of Sports Physiotherapy) and undergraduate physiotherapy university programs.

He is also regularly presenting on the Level 1,2 and 3 post graduate Sports Physiotherapy Courses, and State and National Physiotherapy Conferences.
